The Friday Files

The rain continues here in Sydney this week which (gratefully) has meant moving at a slower pace and tackling some unexpected emotional uprising. I've continued to see a theme in the conversations I've been having both online and off - all surrounding the idea of shift, change and hovering 'in the between'.

For me personally this transformation is coming in many forms, most notably this week in the form of working on our website refresh (a long over due change I can't wait to reveal to you guys) and in the shift of re-entering launch preparation as Digital Bravery prep is well and truly underway. Combine these big projects with some pretty intense work on manifesting and working on my abundance mindset and it's been a powerful (and exhausting) week. I'm looking forward to a little rest and rejuvenation this weekend, starting with a wedding set on a beautiful vineyard tomorrow and (fingers crossed) some beach weather on Sunday, I'm feeling the need for a big does of vitamin sea :)

So if you're also feeling a bit 'in between' at the moment I'd love to hear from you. Comment below or reach out personally to let me know what transitions are happening in your world. Otherwise I'm sending you good vibes to help you trust the process, embrace the change and lean into that beautiful unknown space - what awaits is exactly where you're meant to be.

To keep you focused and make sure you're taking care of YOU this weekend, here's a little link love with a wellness twist, enjoy.

The Friday Files

I seem to be on a never ending quest for balance these days.  I'm learning (slowly) that the battle is a long one, defined only by the individual.  This weekend I found what seemed to be the perfect balance (for me) at this momemt, that involved early morning walks by the beach, iced coffee and powering through some big projects (hello website rebrand!) before shutting down the laptop and getting outside to enjoy the sunshine.

I'm admittedly one that can work for hours in a focused state, unaware of what is happening around me. I adore working and growing Blog Society but I've learned that this is only sustainable when I allow time for self-care so I forced that be a priority this past week.

The result?

After a busy yet restful weekend I've headed into this week with a clear head and heart.  While the rain poured here in Sydney and our friends in the Northern Hempishwere on the East Coast got pounded with snow, I feel liked I've settled back into a routine that has been missing for ages.  While my to-do list is full again, filled with new and exciting projects, I'm ready and willing to tackle them all - but not before putting a little R&R at the top of the priority list this weekend.

I'll be spending some time on the Northern Beaches again, celebrating my partner's birthday and some much needed time with girlfriends catching up and crafting. I can't wait, blissful balance is on the cards.

Before I sign off for the week, here's the link love that caught my eye....xx Jac

The Friday Files

I'm back! Guys I have to admit that I have never felt so energized to sit down and write a post. If I'm being completely truthful this space has felt a bit distant to me lately, the desire to write and share just wasn't flowing and in an attempt to stay true to myself (and my word of 2017, 'Flow') I allowed that space to happen.

And the gap widened and suddenly months had passed and The Friday Files went on hiatus.

Until now.

I've found that for many of us creativity energy ebbs and flows. There are times when we outwardly express ourselves and thrive off the creative energy that writing, reading and social media can offer and sometimes these channels can have the opposite effect where we need time to disconnect in order to replenish ourselves. No matter which stage you're in know that it's absolutely okay. You are where you need to be. I find it's best to embrace each time as both are needed in order to grow and move forward. As I've said here before many times, sometimes you need to slow down in order to speed up.

I am definitely in the creative phase and I have no idea if the impending arrival of my little bub has anything to do with this newfound energy (I expect it does and that it may be fleeting so I'm harnessing all I can for now) so expect to find me writing more, sharing more and creating more as the desire for connection is running deep.

After spending last weekend glued to my laptop in major ecourse prep, I can't wait to grab my other half and spend some time putting my feet in the sand. Summer is slipping into Autumn here in Sydney and I'm determined to enjoy those fleeting summer moments as long as I can. I hope you have an equally relaxing weekend planned and before I say goodbye (until next week that is) here is some link love that caught my eye this week:

  • Soul-care vs self-care: this podcast hit a personal note and blew my mind

  • Save your sanity with these time-saving tips

Friday Files

For anyone that has ever launched an ecourse or product you understand the madness that exists the week before you hit 'go'. Well that has been my life this week. A flurry of last minute interviews, podcasts, emails with my web developer, late nights writing emails, gut checks with my mastermind group and the emotional butterflies that come with anything tied to vulnerability.

This Monday I open the doors to our 5th round of Digital Bravery and more than ever I'm excited to welcome our next class into the family of hundreds of past students that have graduated my course. I pour all my marketing know-how and guidance into this course and I can't wait for you guys to join me.

If launch chaos wasn't enough I decided to throw an exciting new job into the mix that I'll be sure to tell you about next week. For now I'm wrapping up some final to-do list items and then hitting the road for a weekend camping trip down the coast and some much needed time away from the screen (for now) - as it's pretty much the calm before the storm until next week hits. Bring it on! Enjoy the link love....x Jaclyn

After a blissful Easter weekend I came back to Sydney rested, refreshed and ready to hit the ground running. Armed with extra caffeine, this week has been EPIC - I've been putting in the long hours in prep for our Digital Bravery launch on 11 April, but I seem to thrive as I get into launch mode. I absolutely love this product and sharing it with the world is one of my favourite things to do as a business owners. It's when action and accountability collide and I get to practice what I preach.

So I've been writing emails, blog posts, recording podcasts, securing interviews and working like a boss. There have been some pretty big shifts in my professional life too which I'll be sharing soon - jumping fearlessly out of my comfort zone in brave pursuit of new adventures.

So this weekend I wish I could say I have a lot of fun things lined up but the truth is I'll be working and powering through that to-do list into the wee hours (perhaps with a wine in hand and some 'House of Cards' on in the background) but after such a restful break I'm ready to dive back in. Here's hoping your weekend is a bit more exciting :)  Sharing my fav link love below before signing off. x Jaclyn
