Let’s talk about fear.
Perhaps it's the end of the year approaching quickly or the fact that many of us are looking back at goals not yet accomplished or creating big wish lists for next year, but the fact remains that fear seems to live and breathe in our creative worlds.
Now as you may have witnessed over the past few months, I’ve been in creation mode, working on my e-course, Digital Bravery and a recurring theme during this entire time has been all about bravery which made me stop and think about the role that fear, bravery and confidence play in our daily lives.
The truth is that each one of us needs fear. It’s a survival instinct put in place to protect us but what about when that protection also keeps us from growing, evolving and following our dreams? I’m the first one to raise my hand and admit that fear has held me back, allowed self-doubt to creep into my mind, made me care far too much what others thought of me and impacted my ability to grow. But then things slowly began to change and for me personally that pivotal moment came when I realised all of the lost opportunities in front of me that I could directly attribute to fear. I could literally begin to count as opportunities slipped away because I said 'no' out of fear. So I took a leap of faith. I started to say yes to things that scared me and made a decision I that I didn’t want to watch from the sidelines any more. Do you?
Raise your hand if you’ve had hopes and dreams squashed because you were too afraid to try? Or in some cases afraid of what might actually happen if you succeeded? Fear is a powerful beast but one that certainly can be tamed but that decision starts with you.
If you really want to 2015 to be filled with fearlessness and confidence (and I know you do!) then Digital Bravery could be just want you needed...and I'll be there to support, guide and cheer you along the way.
But don't take my word for it, here’s what other's say about working with me:
Don't let fear run your 2015, instead use that energy and emotion to propel you forward - there are far greater things that lie ahead, trust me. Learn more..
