A Look Back // Modern Calligraphy With Lulu Lucky

Monday can sometimes get a bad rap don't you think? For most of us it signals the end of the weekend and a slow crawl back to the daily grind of work life and while I certainly need an extra cup (or three) of coffee on a Monday morning, I'm determined to start each week full of possibility.

As I was chatting to a few blog friends over the weekend I had an idea about how I could start off the week in the right state of mind. I realised that one way to look forward with anticipation was to be able to look back and appreciate the journey that got us to where we stand today.

I have so many wonderful memories from our launch year that I haven't yet shared with my Blog Society family here on the blog so I've decided for the next few weeks to take a look back at some of our most memorable moments - I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane with me and that it might help cure some of the Monday blues...

First up is one of the events that I was most excited to host - Modern Calligraphy with the talented and lovely Kara Hynes aka Lulu Lucky. It was a co-hosting match made in heaven and we had an afternoon of creative calligraphy magic happen at The Corner in Sydney. It was just one of those classes that clicked - the students were fun and amazing, the space bright and light and material challenging but oh so beautiful when all was said and done - I had calligraphy envy by the end of it.  Later that year we went on to host two more of these classes but that first one was such a stand out I can't help to hold it as a favourite.
